Project Background:

Prologis Zhangjiagang Logistics Park is one of the key projects in China by Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate development. Located in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province, this logistics park spans several million square meters and offers a comprehensive range of modern logistics services, including warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management. The park's strategic location in the Yangtze River Delta economic zone, along with its advanced facilities and management systems, makes it a prime logistics hub. Prologis Zhangjiagang Logistics Park operates with a focus on sustainability and green development, providing efficient and sustainable logistics solutions to meet the needs of diverse industries.


Challenges & Needs:

Before the lighting upgrade,TCL encountered several challenges:

  • Energy Inefficient Lighting Systems: The lighting systems in the warehouses and logistics facilities were outdated and consumed large amounts of electricity, raising operational costs.

  • Uneven Lighting Distribution: Lighting levels were inconsistent, with some areas overly bright while others were too dim, which created safety hazards and decreased working comfort.

  • High Maintenance Costs: Due to the outdated lighting, there was a frequent need for bulb replacements and repairs, driving up maintenance costs and disrupting logistics operations.

Solution:

We worked with Prologis Zhangjiagang Logistics Park to optimize energy efficiency and improve safety through a more uniform lighting system in their warehouses. The solution focused on reducing costs and enhancing operational workflows.

  • LED Lighting Conversion: The warehouses and logistics facilities at Prologis Zhangjiagang Logistics Park were retrofitted with high-efficiency LED lighting, which not only reduced energy consumption but also improved lighting quality in storage and operational areas.
